Bill of Materials

VARNET's Bill of Materials follows raw materials through the process of
becoming finished goods. Components are defined through product structure and
maintenance. Manufacturing steps are documented as a sequence of routings
through process maintenance. Standard manufacturing costs for materials, labor,
machinery, outside processing, scrap and overhead are reported through costed
bill of materials report. A bill may be used to communicate engineering
changes, by manufacturing to produce according to specifications, by purchasing
to order raw materials, and by accounting to establish standard costs. System
